Statisticians estimate that ully one third of the amount repre ented by wasted mileage might have ieen saved 'by the use of simple con ervation methods. For this $166,000,00 that might have een saved by tire conservation an mally a'highway could be built across he continent each year and the na ion honeycombe with shorter roads. Eight first class battleships could be uilt for our navy for the same mountof money wasted, or a canal qual to that at Panama could be onstructed from the hioney wasted ii three years. Every automobile owner in this State has contributed heir percentage in this tire waste. low much money have YOU lost on rour tires in the year 1920? We ven .ure to say that the money taken off he wheels of automobiles in Sumter knd Clarendon counties in tires you ,hink are no good, would in two or Jhree years pay for a paved highway )etween Sumter and Manning. Now, this is the year that we must ,ut down on the running expense of yur cars, get all the miles we can out >f our tires and lessen the tremen lous tire waste annually, by: First kdeping your tires inflated properly. Second when you get a small cut n your tire have it vulcanized prompt ly, for by so doing you prevent sand, water and grease from entering the -ut, which causes blow-outs. Third have all punctures vulcanized axnd prevent rim cuts. Fourth when a tire blows out it cioes not necessarily iiiean that that is the end of that tires mileage, take it to a vulcanizing shop and have it inspected, you may get another thou sand miles on it yet. We have had nine years of vulcaniz ing practice and will at any time in spect your tires free of charge and give the public the benefit of our ex perience. Do not hesitate to bring your tires to us for inspection, for you will be under no obligation what ever, and we will advise you honestly if it would pay you to vulcanize them. Come in and let us explain and show you how WE VULCANIZE r'RES and tubes and judge for your self if you will save money.
