C., WEDNES WRANG'EL'S CAVALRY ROUTS BOLSHEVIKI :Soviet Say They Are at War With the United States and France - Constantinople, Sept. 20.-(Bfy the Associated Press.)-Gen. Wrangel's latest cavalry drive against the Bol sheviki in South Russia has won him valuable strategic positions on the railway and resulted in the capture of more than 2,000 prisoners and quanti ties of supplies it is reported in ad vices from the Crimea. The South Russian cavalry, by a sudden dash, surprised the Bolsheviki and captured the railway junction of Petropavolsk, with section of the line in either direction as well as the town of Oriskhof. The Wrangel forces now are menacing Alexandrovsk on the Dnieper, about ninety miles in land from the Sea of Azov. The Japanese Governinent has an observer at Sebastapol, Gen. Wrangels head cuarters. Say They Are at War With U. S. Riga, Sept. 20.-(By the Associated Press.)-The prospects did not appear bright today for a speedy peace be tween Poland and Soviet Russia re pulting from the 'conference to be opened formally here tomorrow. The indicated refusal of Soviet Russia to disarm, as the Poles are expected to demand, seems likely to be the chief stumbling block. The Bolshevik delegation it is fore cast, Will insist that Poland must dis arm with the exception of a small de fensive force, as Poland would be at peace with the world when she signed an arm-istice with the Moscow Gov enment, the Soviet representatives point out. The Bolsheviki, however, inisist they are at war with Gen. Wrangel, France and the United States, which makes it imperative, they declare, that they maintain a war footing, Great Britain is omitted from this classification by the Rus sians. as it appears they no longer consider. themselves at war with her. The presence of the American tor pedo lboat destroyer Broome in the harbor of Riga has caused the Soviet delegates to make some inq(uiries from the La..tviati Government. , CHARGED WIT HSTEALING JAT DcXuroit, Sept. 21.-Charged with shippmg more than $200,000 worth of CrIe es- ~ '' N( S &D nw ING TIMES nning as Second-Class 'Matter. >e, Proprietors. ry Wednesday 10 per year in Advarce DAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 1920 automobiles stolen in Detroit, through Eastern ports to Scandinavian coun tries, six Detroit persons one of them a woman, have been arrested here .1nd are being held by federal authorities under the Dyer interstate automobile theft act, it was announced today.
