An interesting affair of this week to all of the ladies will be the "Kitchen Party," to be given at Mrs. Henry Harms in College Street. It will be conducted by the "Wear Ev~ minum" boys, and a complete demonstration given. Every lady in College street is invited and requested to be present. A luncheon will be served. The Messrs Leitzsey and Lominick will give a barbecue at the residence of Mr. A. Z. Leitzsey on Thursday. Lightning played dangerous pranks with the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Ewell Floyd of Near Garys Lane last Saturday afternoon. Fortunately both Mr. and Mrs. Floyd were not in I the house at the time or they would in all likelihood have been killed.
