I have set January 24, 1914, at Anderson in the court house, to select nominees for the Annapolis appointments, and applicants for West Point will be decided at the same time and place. Wyatt Aiker , M. C. Death of Miss Whitney. Miss Rena G. Whitney died at her home at Maybinton on Saturday morning at 3.30 o'clock, after an illness of about 16 months of pleurisy, at the age of 21 years, and was buried Sunday afternoon at 1.30 o'clock at Ebenezer, service conducted by the Rev. J. M. Friday. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Whitney, of Maybinton. Besides her parents she is survived by three sis ters and one Drotner, mts. rnomas Jeter, 'of Carlisle, Mr. Fred H. Whitney and Misses Daisy and Lula Bessie Whitney, of Maybintcm. A
