Corbott, at Privateer, Snmter, was destroyed by fire. A son of Mr. Hf. D. Corbelt was slooping in the store and would have lost his life had he not been aroused by a negro in time to escape. Tihe loss was partly covered by insurance. Alfred Norwoodi, the thief who purloined Dr. Moore's horse and buggy in Kershaw, about two weeks ago, was arrested in Darlington county, near Lydia, and carried to Camden on Monday last. When arrested he had' on the fine suit of clothes which were stolen from Mr. D. B. McLaurin's room at the DeKalb House just a few days pre vious to the stealing of Dr. Moore's horse and buggy.
