HOLD O.-On Thursday, a horse attached to a wagon containing Acountryman and his daughter: a ,omg woman in the rustic bloom of eighteen or thereabouts-took fright at the corner of Lawrence and Third, *opeped out' and commenced spread. ing hinsgelf for a mad run down the hill. For the wagon, the inmates, the lines, and all other rearward at *achment, the horse did not appear to hold any affectionate affinity, but like the devoted dog with the pan at his tail, put in his best licks to out run them. On he went, bouncing things about as if they were of no value, and fully insured in a solvent ffiice. The old man gave his lungs Inost wo-ful strains, and the young *WauM in the rustic bloom of eigh fen, or thereabouts, sat as mutely indifferent to the danger as a lonely Sower on a descending avalanche.
