The extent of the future increase of income from these sources, we do not pretend to * estimate; but every intelligent mind will perceive its bearing upon the present value of our shares. With these results in prospect, not a share ought to be sold at any sacrifice, nor should necessity force any to make such sacrifices.? Money is abundant everywhere, and cannot bo scarce here. This is a great public work, in which the State, the City, and many of our Banks and other public institutions, are largely interested; and those private stockholders who require some aid to meet this call, cannot, under such circumstances, and at such a time, fail to obtain it.
