The battlefields of Blackstocks, 10'^ Cowpens and King's mountain are all j(J( near enough for a pleasant day's excursion; and the prospect from Gelkin Mountain lakes in a large part of four districts, ( and embraces many views of highly picturesque and beautiful secnery. Since the last Summer the roads leading to these Springs have bpen put in order, f and the bridges repaired and replaced. A j new bridge has been built at the Nesbit Iron Works over the Broad River, ami 110 difficulty now exists for travellers?a line )f stages runs twice a week from Sparanburg, by those Springs, to - Lineolton ?another twice a week from Union Court jan.
