Spartanburg, 25 miles from Yorkville, 25
miles from Glenn's Springs, and 22 from La
Wilson's While Sulphur Springs, beingjA
the central point to them all. The waters I
of the Spring are limestone, highly rharg- A
ed with earbonic acid gas, and are as light, El
pure, and delightful to the taste as water!
can be. They possess derided medicinal' pr<
y virtues especially in eases of dyspepsia i f11'
and liver affections. There are besides ,n<
the limestone, two strong chalybeate
Springs of equal efficiency in restoring ?
strength and appetite in cases of debility.
Baths, cold and warm and shower, shall -?*

The locality is one of the most healthfu| j|jr
in the world. The country around it possesses
many attractions in its beautiful ^ *
scenery, its historic.il associations, ano mi
the manufactures which are springing up I Ja(
around it. The battlefields of Blackstocks, 10'^
Cowpens and King's mountain are all j(J(
near enough for a pleasant day's excursion;
and the prospect from Gelkin Mountain
lakes in a large part of four districts, (
and embraces many views of highly picturesque
and beautiful secnery.
Since the last Summer the roads leading
to these Springs have bpen put in order, f
and the bridges repaired and replaced. A j
new bridge has been built at the Nesbit
Iron Works over the Broad River, ami 110
difficulty now exists for travellers?a line
)f stages runs twice a week from Sparanburg,
by those Springs, to - Lineolton
?another twice a week from Union Court jan.
House, and a horse mail to Yorkville. ^
There is always on hand a supply of
