Think not 'cause grandfather, saucy Peter, ?-'Neath a great tub hid me, can't shine in metre ; Know indeed that i've so brilliant grown, My lustre shines thio* ev'ry hole unknown. Ere long, mind ye, III make so great a light, Apollo, old already ; grown dim of sight? W ill crown me natural heir to rhime, So gieat am I with her, and ? mi stress time. Metho't I heard indeed, dame justice say, _ Probably in one century and a day ; Von will o* the wisp, of moon ey'd lustre, YV *.U beauteous shine among the singing clusire v - A1, ready to his aid, Pegasus flies, And fills cerebral space, with ? poetic lies. I OST? on Friday last, a pocket Book, *>y a Mr. Mourns Staples, containing in all &400, three hundred of which wtrfe in, 100 dollar Hills, the balance in Bill* of a smaller size. Mr. "Staples was on his way to Georgia, with a lai^e family, whose expences Were to have beeni de frayed by this Money* which was all that he had. It is stated by a youth of this place, that he saw a certain Man pick up a pocket book shortly after this accident happened, and should it not be returned to the Post- Master in. Camden, that cir cumstance may lead lo a dicovery of the present possessor, whose intentions cannot be very fair, unless he complies with the present notice. No one who possesses the smallest share of honor, or pity for the distress of a family placed in so helpless and dependant a situation, can reconcile to himself the idea of being the cause of their sufferings.
