In the report of tho County Commis? sioners, published in the Columbus, Ohio, Journal, appear the following items: "Bread for the poor, 16 35; "whiskey for the poor, $56 60." This would seem to confirm the declaration of an old citizen of that section, that | ' 'most of the corn raised around there is mado into whiskey, but they waste a good deal of it by making it into bread."
