The Committee on Amend? ments to the Constitution reported a resolution to Article 37 of the Consti? tution, by adding to the end of it tho following: Provided that the General Convention may, by oanon, arrange I and sot forth a shortened form of ' morning and evening prayer, to be compiled wholly from the I?ook of Common Prayer, or may authorize it to be done by any diocese for its own use. A vote was taken on this by dioceses and orders and it was adopted, with the following result: Clerical vote ?ayes 37; noes 41; lay voto?ayes 24; noes 3. The Committee on Amend? ments to the Constitution also reported that it would be inexpedient to ap? point any commission to revise the Constitution or to devise a provincial system for the churoh.
