'Tie well for me that God should be The chooser of my deutiny; For were my rot placed in'niy hand, Where should my aure salvation stand? Beset around with wily snares, And cumber'd with uncounted caree, What arm but Thine alone oan hold My soul wahin Thy eaviog foldl Tho things of Benae allure mine eyes, And eudden sins my aoul surprise; Were I no more Thy grace to share, Fd sink and dio in lost despair. I know that I am aafe with Thee; .Then in Thy hands my portion be; .1 cannot fear what may betide, When on Thy power my hopes abide. Let sinless ones on merit aland, I seek for meroy at Thy hand; No other way of help I hog; Thy grace in Christ must work for me. A wretch were I to lean upon The works my erring handi have done; 1 Btand a auppliaut, with the plea. Atoning blood was shed for me. Ohl let Thy morcy, day by day, Uphold my spirit iu the way; Enough for me that Thou wilt keep The feeblest of Thy chosen Bheep.
