A girl can sow more wild oats in a day than a boy can sow in a year, but girls get their wild oats sowed after I a while, which boys never do, and then they settle down au calm and placid as a mud puddle. But I like girls first rate, and I guess I the boys all do. I don't care how many trick? they play on me-and they don't care either. The hoitytoityiet girls in the world can't always boil over like a glass of soda. By and by they will get into the traces with somebody they like, nnd pull as steady as any old utago-horse. That is the beauty of them. So let ! them wave, I Bay; they will pay for it j some duy, sewing on buttons and trying to make a decent man of the feller they have spliced on to, and ten chances to one if they don't get the worst of it. A Yankee ice company in Columbia, Central America, was recently fined $1,200 for being short of ice. A novel -way of imposing punishment in mercan? tile matters, we take it. But the matter was finally mended by a new supply of tho frigid article, and the decision being I reversed by the Supreme Court of that country. A gallant school boy's toast: "Tho girls 1 May they add charity to beauty, subtract envy from friendship, multiply genial affections, divide time by industry and recreation, reduce scandal to its lowest denomination, and raise virtue to its highest power."
