The honor of inventing and thoroughly utilizing a low-water indicator, for use in the boilers of steam engines, has been reserved for Norfolk and a Norfolk mao, Mr. Wm. Brooke. The indicator utter? ly precludes the possibility of wator in the boiler gstting too low, therefore pre? venting explosions and all such casual? ties. A patent has been secured, and tho invention will shortly bo put on the market. Hr. Brooke is a natural genius, and his invention, founded as it is on high soientifio principles, reflects great credit npon him.-Norfolk Journal. < ? ?-?
