A preamble and resolution wero ndopted, declaring that tho bonds heretofore issued are without legal sanction, and tho so-called aterling loan, or any other bonds or obli^-atious hereafter issued, purporting to bo under and by virtue of tho authority of the present State Government, will not be held binding on us; and that we shall, iu every manner and at all times, resist tho payment thereof, or tho enforcement of any tax to pay tho same, by all legiti? mate means within our po we".
