Juniper Berrica, by distillation, to form a fino gin. Cubebs extracted by displacement with KI uri tn obtained from Juniper Berrica; very little sugar ia used, and a email proportion of spirit, lt is moro palatable than any now in uso. Buchu, as prepared by Druggists, is of a dark color. It ia a plant that emits its fra? grance; tho action of a Ramo destroys this, (its activo principle,) leaving a dark and glu? tinous decoctiou. Mino is tho color of ingre? dients. Th? Buchu in my preparation pre? dominates; the smallest quantity of the other ingredients are added, to prevent fermenta? tion; upon inspection, it will be found not to bo Tincturo, as made in Pharmacopoeia, nor la it a syrup-and therefore can be used in caaes whore fever or inflammation exists.
