' We regret to see that the barbarous amuse? ment of '(Gander Pulling" formed a part of the entertainment at ? late fair in this State. Such a thing. happened once in Columbia, about ten years ago, on Christmas day. Next morning the following poem appeared in tho old Soui/i Oarollnian, whioh BO plainly set forth the enormity of the thing, that tho practice has never been repeated hero. We reproduce it in the Pnoxix as a word in sea? son: What sight is that?
