Mr: Lee, a resident of Pennsylva? nia prior to tho war, owned a flock of sheep in Texas, which wore in charge of an agent. They were confiscated, and one Knox became the purchaser, at a sale. After the war, Mr. Lee brought suit in the Cirouit Court of Texas, to recover damages of Knox for the wrongful taking of the sheop. 1 The verdiet was for the plaintiff-the Court Instructing the jury that Kuox obtained no title by his pur? chase.
