DON'T WANT TO DE CITIZENS.-At a Conference between a committee of the Rhode Island Legislature and the Narragansett tribe of Iudians, a few days ago, at Charlestown, R. I., the red men declined to become citizens of the State under the civil rights bill. They do not wish to vote. This onco famous tribe has dwindled to 133 persons, and there is a good deal of negro blood among them. They now exist as au independent commu? nity, under the guardianship of the State, electing their own officers and making their own laws. They own about 3,(X)0 acres of land.
