The resolution to expel Rosseau for his as? sault on Grin nell waa deteated; 22 against '49-not two-thirds. A resolution was then passed, that Rosseau bo summoned before the House, to be censured by tho Speaker. The three gentlemen who were in company with Rosseau when he committed the as? sault were declared guilty of a violation of principle, and are to be brought to the bar of tho House. It is proper here to state, distinctly and emphatically, thal such impressions aro utterly without foundation. The policy of the Company is now, as it always has been, never to allow a lower rate at a competing point; and its practice is, as it lias always boon, to allow the road nearest the competing point to mako tho rato necessary to give its patrons all thc advantages promised elsewhere.
