Waieing. Yesterday's cup was brimming, To its curring rim, with hope ; As flowers to tbe bee awaken, So did tbe glad hours ?pe with songs or the heart's sort humming, Foll of a deep delight. As lt crooned over happiness coming, The joy that should come with night ; But lt blossoms not with ?he night. And mute is the mom with walting, Faint fall the bee's light wings, And lower is now the bumming Of the murmuring song she sings. The passionate prince or the garden In the pride or his purple may woo, But the queen knows where ia the n - c tar, And she turoB, sweet flower, to you She waits r?r ambrosia and you I Walts for the honeyed blooming Of the sweetest blossom or all ; Wm lt op a its rragrant petals. And answer her earnest call ? Will he come as the shadows lengthen. Till they rade In tho rar-away light, And nil the cup of to-morrew With the dew of a glad to-night ? WU1 he come, walting heart, to night ? THE WEATHER THIS DAY. Nsw YORK, April 12. The financial Chronicle says: The market for the past wee- has bee i very dull, and with the demand so limited, prices have gradually weak? ened, closing to day with ordinary % off, and mlddl og and grades above unchanged. This depression ls the natural result of an absence of demand, holders still appearing to have confi? dence in the strength of the position of cotton; with the old crop turn.ng ont so small and the new crop starting nuder unfavorable auspices, they are not Induced jost at present to lower their expectations. Liverpool, however, does not ap? pear ready to bid higher, so that shippers are sent out from onr market while our own shippers hold off, buying only ta supply immediate wants. To? cay there hss been rather more dol-jg. buyers picking op cheap lota whenever ?round, but there was no change in the official quotations. For forward delivery the movement has been less active than for many weeks, but prlces have been well sustained. For the near momba the decline ls afloat the same as for spot cotton, but for the late summer and fall months there ls an Improvement in prices. Theil ait" reported quota? tion for futures (basis low middling?) 2216-16 for April, 23>i for May, 2318-16 lor June, 23 13-16 for July, 2811-18 for AuKUBt, 2111-16 for September, 20 KC for October. Wallingford Si Co^'a Provision Circular. CINCINNATI, AprU ll: There bas beena decided Improvement lu the tone o( the market since our last., with a much better demand, and a material advance in prices. The low prices current, and the continued large exports has given confidence to holders. The speculative demand has also Increased, and ex? tensive purchases of bulk meats and mess pork were made for future. The expectation that ttilB movement will result in a further advance, be? comes stronger from day today, and holders lo consequence are not f. ee sellers. The spirit of the market and the change la prices have been as follows : MESS PORK-Continues to be the favorite .among speculators, but their efforts to "corner" it for June has unsettled them<rkec to a great extent, and the high prices precludes the nuiog of consumptive orders, ci'j packed for Ju->e soldat $18 26. and buyer uloet/ days atsu. Buders offer $13 cash for city, and $12 50 for co Jntry brands; rump pork ls nominal at $8 so J $10. LABARRAQUE AND Co QUINIUM LABARRAQUE Approved by the Imperial Academy of Medicine The Quinlans Labarraqae is an eminently tonic and febrifuge Wine, destined to replace all the other preparations of Peruvian Bark The Bark Wines usually employed inme dicine are prepared from Barks which vary considerably in the degree to which they possess the desired properties. Besides, owing to the manner in which they are pre? pared, these Wines contain scarcely more than the traces of active principles, and these always in variable proportions. The Qoininm Labarraqae, approved hy the Academy of Medicine, constitutes, on the contrary, a m?decine of determined compo? sition, rich in active principles, and on wich Physicians and Patients can always rely. The Quinlans Labarraqae is prescribed with great success for persons of weak con titution, or for those debilitated by various exhausting causes or past sickness ; for youths fatigued by too rapid growth; for young girls whose development takes place with difficulty ; for women in childbirth; and for aged persons enfeebl?d by years or illness. It is the best preservative against Fevers. In cases of Chlorosis, Anemia, orGreensik ness, lliis Wine is u powerful auxiliary of the ferruginous preparations. In conjunction, for example, with VALLIT'S PILLS, the rapidi? ty of its action is really marvellous. Cepct in Parin, L.. FRERE, 19, roe Jicob.
