THE CROPS.-The weather .was too wet for cot? ton during the early part of the week, and if gen? eral and continued daring mis month must have a damaging influence on the plant. The grain crops, of which an abundance bas been planted, is reported in a good condition. THE RECEIPTS.-The arrivals at the cotton ports for the week ending on Friday last were 36,402 bales, against 40,178 the previous week, and 22,441 bales for tbe time la3t s?ason. The total receipts at the cotton parts from September 1,1870. np to the latest mau dates, were 3,784,425 bales, in con? trast with 2,778.232 tbe year before, showing an Increase of 1.007,033 bales.
