It ls yet too early to notice preparations for the next crop, which will be watched with Interest as in dicatiug the euect of the present low prices on the extent of land to be planted. THE RECEIPTS.-The rec2ipt3 at thc cotton ports for the week up to Friday last were 124,450 bales in contrast with 114,090-balcs for the week the year before. At New Orleans the arrivals were 53, 862 bales, against 41,632 for the week last season. The total supplies at the cotton ports from Sep temberl, 1870, up to the latest mall dates were 1,615,990 balc3, in contrast with 1,327,470 bales the year before, showing an lnerease of 238,511 bales.
