A PROBARLE Munumi. - At an early hour Sunday morning a colored man, named James Batley, was found lying near thc railroad track, about six mites from the city, li is absence from hts home on Saturday night induced a search, which resulted in lils discovery. When found, he was lying on thc track in such a position that thc wheels of a passing train would mutilate thc body. There was a terrible wound in tho head, aud ho waa quite insensible. Dailey wus al once brought to thc city and taken to thc Roper Hospi? tal, but his injuries were mortal and he expired thc Hame evening.
