DEATH OF AN ESTIMABLE LADS.-The Abbe? ville papers announce the death on the 27th ult., after along au 1 patntul Illness, of Martha Calhoun Burt, wife of Hon. Armiatead Burt, in the 58th year of her age. Mrs. Burt was the daughter of William Cslhouo, of the Callouu Settlement, in the District of Abbeville. After she married, ber husband bemg a lawyer in practice at AbbeviUi village, she resided there until Mr. Burt was elected to Congress in 1842, after which event sho spout muoh time in Wasbmg ton City, where she lived on tho most intimate terms wiih ber uncle. Hon. John C. Calhoun, Qeneral Geo. Mc Duffie, anl others Utile less distinguished, until Mr. Burt voluntarily retired from public life, and re? turned to Abbeville.
