At a meeting of a contraittoc of thc Washington Light Infantry Charitable Association, yesterday afternoon, it wa? determined to erect a monument to the dead of the various Confederate companies that sprung from thc old Washington Light Infan? try, and to hold a fair in May to aid thc society in that and their general charitable purposes. Two designs of a monument were submitted by Mr. W. T. White, an old member ot the corps, bolh very handsome. One is for a monument thirty teot hi"h, of pure white marble, in three parts: 1. A tase of successive blocks, of dimini-hin:? 6?ze, tormiug slops all around; 2. Ihree tablets for the dead re? spectively of f ompiuy A, Ihe Hampton Legion, aud Company B: Above these tablets thc words "Ber? muda Hundreds," in large letters, and.below them "Weldou Railroad," ..Manassas"and "Fort Fisher;" J.
