BYAN.-The Barn ' well Journal contains a full obituary notice of the late Colonel J. J. Byan, who died at that place ou Monday, the 8th instant. Colonel Ryan was a na? tive of Ireland, but had been brought to this c un try in his inihncy, and bad lived at Barnwell from the time he ?as eighteen ye irs of age. He was a fortunato merchant, and a prcmraeut member of the Legislature bef?te tbe war. Buring the war he was a colonel rtf reserves, and afterwards superin? tendent of lubor on thc coast.
