This, we believe, is the first appearance of a colored lawyer in th.' courts ef this State. Colored lawyers, however, practic-j in ibo United States Su? preme Court, and in tho courts of Boveral Northern States. ARREST OF HIGHWAYMAN AND ROBBERS. Yesterday George Godfrey nnrl-Liegley, colored, were arrested by Magistrate Buoch, on tho charge of being tho principals in the murderous assault made on Mr. Tennent in Cannon-street on Monday nihill last.
