The system of internal improvements, so auspiciously begun years ago, should be consummated, in order that the full b.neate of the system may be enjoyed, and to save what has been expended. This is ee pocially so, in the case of the Western Extension Railroad aud tho Wilmington, Charlotte and Ruth erford Road. The same laudable object is Bought to be effect ed by the pooplo of Faycttoville, Ln their anxiety to extend the Coal Fluids Road from Egypt to Borne point on the North Carolina Road. Tho bene fits to bo derived from that extension may depend much upon the point of terminus upon the North Carolina Railroad. We are glad to see the interest manifested by the people of Greensboro' and oi Caswell upon that subject. We have also heard it said that the pooplo of. Salisbury feel some con cern upon that point. That interest indicates a rising spirit of enterprise in tho Stato. But it can bardiy bo expoctod that three branches from Egypt can be projected.
