Factors showed little dlsposi. tion to give way to the extent demaudod by buyers-the latter being unwilling to operate unless at a material reduction in rates-and the day's sah?B were consequent? ly restricted to barely 500 bales, taken by four brokers. It is almost useless to say anything about prices, which, duriug the paBt three days, have been steadily ruling in :favor of buyers, and at the close to-day, according to ?orne parties, had receded fully 2o lb, bnt would put .good ordinary at 28/120c, and low middling at 31@32c; while othsrs, equally entitled to respect, contended that good ordinary would commaud 29 to 3Uc, and low mid -dling 32 to 33.
