There were 111 schools in the County. Of this number, 81 were white and 30 colored. The average attend I ance of white pupils were 2,209, of colored 1 340 aggregating 3,549. The total amount paid to teachers was $13,144.88. of which the white schools received $10,457.00, and the colored $2,087.82.
