July 28, 1870 5 2 BLUE RIDGE RAILROAD -o TWELVE HUNDRED ACRES OF LAND 1 -o PERRYVILLE DEPOT is in the centre of the Tract of Laud. Eleven Hundred Acres in lurest, and as finely timbered as any laud iu Oconee County, which is the best timbered Coun? ty of land in this State, outside ol the long leal pine. I will present some reliable facts, that I will vouch for, and other.t of my ueignburs will do tin .same. The 1st day of May, 18o2, the enure crop of wueat of this region of country was uiuioai entirely killed with the trust My crop was not injured in tbe least. Another prooi that is known by my neighborhood?ihat dere neverl.:u> been an entire tatluie ot the peach crop or any other fruit. Even my chestnut orchard never fails. Au old gentleman, spending a lew daya ?with me, who had traveled over the United States and Europe, said he had never heard of a chest? nut orchard before. He said he heard one gen? tleman in Washington City Bay he was g-Jing to Kentucky to plant u chestnut orchard, und that he could get S2? a bushel lor them in New York. There is an agricultural paper published in Bal? timore, from 1819 to the present day ; there is a Northern gentleman writing in that paper who says he hns purchased land fifteen miles below Augusta, Georgia?pine land, at ten or fit teen dollars an acre. His object is fruit, and he can get from twenty to twenty-Jive dollars a bushel for them in New York. Mr Pell's (of New York J crop of apples brought him ten thousand dollars annually. Col. Singleton's (of South Carolina) crop of pinders brought him ten thousand dollars annually in New York. A neighbor of mine, a Baptist Miuister, saya his wheat weighs seventy pounds to the bushel. This grows out of the fuel that the Hon. Mr. Clemsoc, and .Mr. Tourney. State Geologist, have informed yuu what ihr ier tilizers of the State can and will accomplish if used. I got Mr. Clemson to test the rock oil" of my farm. I will sell Irom Fifty lo One Hundred Acres of Land, or more, in a tract, each one commencing on the Blue Ridge Railroad. I want purchasers to come to my residence? "Wayside '?aud to look ut the growth ui' coUun for themselves. I have betwen Six and Seven Thousand Dollars worth of Bonds, which weto originally predicated on a mortgage of twelve thousand dollars worth bf land. 1 want to sell the land and bonds. James H.
