Meek Faulkner, neai King's Creek, was the scene of a pretty wedding last Tuesday afternoor when his daughter, Miss Elizabeth, be came the wife of Rev. R. A. Lummui of Rlchburg. The decorations of the home con. sisted of palms, ferns, evergreens ant white carnations, artistically arranged In one corner of the parlor, in from of a bank of ferns stood an arch ol ivy, from the center of which hunj the wedding bell. A soft, mellow light from many candles gave beauty tc the scene. At noon, an elegant dinner was tendered the bridal party and a few othei guests. By two o'clock, the appointed hour quite a number of friends had arrived <-> wiinaM th? ceremony. Promptly at two, to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Mis: Kate Faulkner, the groom with hU best man. Rev. J. W. Simpson of Concord, N. C., entered the room. Then came the queenly bride on the arm ol her sister and dame of honor, Mrs. W C. Thompson. The happy couple mel under the archway. The Impressive ring ceremony was performed by the bride's pastor, Dr R. M. Stevenson, of Clover, assisted bj Rev. E. B. Hunter of Sharon. The bride wore a very. stylish tar coatsult, with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of bride's roses. The dame of honor was elegantly attired in a white costume, with black picture hat, and carried pink carnations. The bride is a graduate of the Woman's college of Due West, and possesses all the attributes of a noble woman. The groom Is a graduate of Erskine college, and of Ersklne Theological Seminary, and is a most successful and popular minister of the Associate Re formed Presbyterian church. He Is pastor of Edgmoor and Union congregations. The display of many beautiful and useful gifts was a silent, but forceful witness of the love and esteem ol many friends.
