home of Mr. W. Meek Faulkner, neai
King's Creek, was the scene of a pretty
wedding last Tuesday afternoor
when his daughter, Miss Elizabeth, be
came the wife of Rev. R. A. Lummui
of Rlchburg.
The decorations of the home con.
sisted of palms, ferns, evergreens ant
white carnations, artistically arranged
In one corner of the parlor, in from
of a bank of ferns stood an arch ol
ivy, from the center of which hunj
the wedding bell. A soft, mellow light
from many candles gave beauty tc
the scene.
At noon, an elegant dinner was tendered
the bridal party and a few othei
guests.
By two o'clock, the appointed hour
quite a number of friends had arrived
<-> wiinaM th? ceremony. Promptly
at two, to the strains of Mendelssohn's
wedding march, played by Mis:
Kate Faulkner, the groom with hU
best man. Rev. J. W. Simpson of Concord,
N. C., entered the room. Then
came the queenly bride on the arm ol
her sister and dame of honor, Mrs. W
C. Thompson. The happy couple mel
under the archway.
The Impressive ring ceremony was
performed by the bride's pastor, Dr
R. M. Stevenson, of Clover, assisted bj

The bride wore a very. stylish tar

a bouquet of bride's roses. The
dame of honor was elegantly attired
in a white costume, with black picture

from which point they took the
train for Rlchburg, their luture home.

GOOD Pianos
Every Farrand Piano Is good value
at the price at which we offer it. There
are many dealers using means of advertising
that are of such a misleading
character, that many reliable dealers
are ashamed of such business. Such
as the so-called "Clubs," "Guessing
Contests," and "Cut Price" announcements,
such for instance as "A $400
Piano for $300," all offering something
for nothing. Such schemes are
frauds on their face. When you want

them good. This is the best season of
the year to give your stock a general
toning up, so they will shed off the long
winter hair and get in shape before the
bard work sets in. We have all kinds
