The jury returned a verdict of $2,700 damages against the seven students. The corn crop of Kentucky this year is the largest ever made in that State. The distillers .are the principal i buyers and they fix the price. On the 17th I instant, the first train passed over the entire length of the Seaboard and Raleigh Railroad I from Tarboro to Williamston, N. C.
