Decision About Dehts.?The Su preme Court of Tennessee has rendered a deoision which announces a new rule in regard to acknowledgments of debt. Heretofore it hus been accepted as law that, where a payment bad been male upon a note, such payment took the in strument out of the statute of limitations. According to the late decision, no note can now be collected after six years, on tho ground that partial payment hus been made. Tho payment is to be considered as an ncknowlcdgmen pro tantot and uot for the entire debt. Sam Edwards met with a serious loss in a novel and astonishing way last Week. While plowing in the Lebanon soction the ground suddeuly gave way and tho horse aud p'ow disappeared from view.
