Louis, caught on fire from a spark on the roof, and for a abort time threatened becoming a serious af fair. Rut the prompt assistance furnished by friends and neighbors, nud the timely arrival of the Engine Companies of the village, soon put the flames under control, aud the damage was slight. We were glad to observe, that our colored friends vied with the whites in their efforts to extinguish the fire;?nn evidence of good will on their part which is fully appreciated.
