A difficulty occurred a fowv miles above this place on Saturday, tIle 30th nlt., betwooen Mr. Greenbory Allison and Mr. Cald well, ill wvhich the former was shot by tile latter. Dr. G. WV. It is thought-that Mr. Cald well would have killed him, had Mr. Kennemoro not been standing near and knocked the gun down, just as the gun fired. The11 wound is not dangerous, and the wounded man is improving. Mr. Al lison and Mr. Caldwell are brothers in-law. Don't know particulars. We are indebted to Mr. HL J. Gig,. nilliat for the first copy of a neatly p rinted and intoresting jouirnal, "The Piedmont Air Line Readlight," pub. lished monthly by the "Piedmont Air Line." Tile object of its publishers is to sho0w the merits and attractions of the Piedmont Air Line, and each number, besides containing interest. ing and instructive reading matter, will contain a cut of some prominent or interceting object along the line. The present number contains a cut of the present Capital at Atlanta. Any one sending twonty five cents to WV. J. Houston, general passenger agent, Atlanta, Ga., will receive one copy of the "Readlight," each month for 1.2 months.
