A difficulty occurred a fowv miles
above this place on Saturday, tIle 30th
nlt., betwooen Mr. Greenbory Allison
and Mr. Cald well, ill wvhich the former
was shot by tile latter. Dr. G. WV.
Earle, of this lalce was sent for and
extracted eighltoon duck shiot from
the thighs of Mr. Allison. It is
thought-that Mr. Cald well would have
killed him, had Mr. Kennemoro not
been standing near and knocked the
gun down, just as the gun fired. The11
wound is not dangerous, and the
wounded man is improving. Mr. Al
lison and Mr. Caldwell are brothers
in-law. Don't know particulars.
