DKAK COU KI KU: The quarterly Conference for Seneca ami Fairview Churches met at thc latter church last Saturday and was presided over by Presiding Fide!- Dickson. Messrs. V. H. Swann and Jas. H. Daniel were licensed to preach. ll is un derstood that Mr. Daniel will ?tun tho Conference and take a regular course, while Mr. Swann will be a local preacher. There is considerable complaint of rust in cotton, bul it is thought hy some that the rains will stop this trouble. We are having nice rains now and nearly every section is being visited with them. Wo hear of a good many cases of jaundice about here, but it doesn't conline any lo the bed. Miss Zenith Hombree, an aged maiden lady living near bete, died last Sunday. She was thought to bo near ninety years old ami died of old age. She was Inn.eil yesterday at I Jet urn church. There were no preaching in any of tho white churches in town last Sunday morning.
