Bynun. on Enoree River, Wade Glenn, a colored boy, aged 15, was killed by a falling tree. A fine mare upon which Wade was riding was so injured that she died next day. His ex eriences with brazen-faced people; rih letter-writers and their remark ble wants; with aspirants for fame nd seekers after "moddle" lectures;4 ith beggars without number and bores f all kinds-are given in "Sunlight nd Shadow" without reserve. In short, "Sunlight and Shadow," is mine of extraordinary interest, It a be truthfully said of it, that for arilling interest, touching patbos and -resistible humor, no book has ever qualed it.
