Boy and Horse Killed.
During a storm on Saturday afternoon
on the plantation of Jno. T. Bynun. on
Enoree River, Wade Glenn, a colored
boy, aged 15, was killed by a falling
tree. A fine mare upon which Wade
was riding was so injured that she died
next day.

Coming Weddings.
We know of four-to take place in
the course of the fall. One in the
Tr'nnton neaighborhood. one in the Ridge
country, one in the Johnston section,
and one-well perbaps -at Trenton,
perhaps in our village, perhaps in the
Hill and Hughes vicinity. In the lat
ter, the bridegroom is to come from

Of new cotton for this season was
brought in this (Tuesday) morning by
Mr. Jacob Wicker, of Hleller Township.
It weighed 450 pounds; classed mid
dung, -ad was bought by Messrs. Hunt
& Singleton at 11 cents.
The first bale of 1880 was sold, at
Newberry, Aug. 23d-at Prosperity.
Aug. 21st; of 1879, Aug. 30th ; of 1878,
Aug. 13th.
