That made 63 memi hers holding certificates of election from the State Board of Canvassers. .METHODIST CONFERENCE.-The An nl Conference of the Methodist Epis copal Church convenes in Chester on the 13th. Bishop Kavanauh will pre side. The Rev. C. HI. Pritchard, of INe'.berry Station, and the Revs. T. WV. -Herbert and L. F. Beatty have left for Conference. A fatal affray occurred at Prosperity Thursday, the 7th instant. Mr. Dray ton Browvn and Mr. Roht. Y. Neal be 'came engaged in an altereation in Fel 'lers' saloon, when Neal was shot by .Brown and killed. Brown claims that Neal was attempting to draw his pistoJ on him. and that the shooting was there fore done in self-defence. PATIENCE AND PEACE.-A letter just -reeived from Col.
