Big Fish Fry. One of the largest fish fries ever held in this section was given by B. H. Barre, general manager of the Lexington Electric Light, & Power Onm- I pany, at the company's plant near Lexington Wednesday night. It was the largest crowd ever seen at a gathering of this kind, and there were fish for evervhodv. With "flioflaDs" sa lore, the well known and popular get up of W. Mr. Hawkins lost a fine mule and cow and horse food. John Boozer lost two oxen and a cow in the barn. The origin of the fire is not known, ! as Mr. Hawkins was away from home assisting a neighbor with a sick mule. The dead man was connected with the Spartanburg police force for 25 years. Thomas Yarborough, J. W. Matthews and E. A.
