SEVEN YEARS ^ p OF MISERY How Mrs. Bethune was Restored to Health by Lydia EL Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. Sikeeton, Mo. ? "For seven yean I offered everything. I was in bed for four oi* five days at a IjNjQRQ and so weak I eould F iSfl headache, and Msll ? flip was so nervous and ^S?M weak liiat I dreaded to see anyone or hare anyone move in the room. The doctors {five me medicine to ease me at those times, and said that I ought to i have an operation. I won d not listen to F that, and when a friend of my husband's ^ told him about Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound and what it had done for his wife, I was willing to take it. Now I look the picture of health and feel like it, too. I can do all m y own housework, work in the garden and entertain company and enjoy them, and can walk as far as any ordinary woman, any day in the week. I wish I could talk to every L suffering woman and girl, and tell them ' jr what Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable | Compound has done for me."?Mrs. Dema Bethune, Sikeston, Mo. Remember, the remedy which did this was Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. It has helped thousands of women who have been troubled with displacements, inflammation, ulceration, tumors, irregularities, periodic pains, backache, that bearing down feeling, indigestion, and nervous prostration, after sll other means have failed. Why don't you try it? Family of 45 Poisoned On Fourtlii of July. A dispatch from Augusta, Ga., on Wednesday says: It has just developed that forty-five people, all members of the Canady family, near Gar * ' - a fom 11 u neia, tm., wore puisuiicAj. ob ci reunion at the home of Mac Canady, on the Fourth of July. Indications wer$ that poison was put in several articles used in the dinner, since every member of the family at the table was a victim, and all of them did not eat of any one particular kind of food. m Last Saturday, Tillman Canady, one of the brothers, died. Yesterday Mrs. Faireloth, daughter of Mac Canady, , and one of her children, died. Thirteen members of his family are seriously ill at the home of Mac Canady. Ben Canady is in a critical condition, and ey^y member of his family is ' sick. Appeal ha9 been made to the City hospital in Augusta for assistance, the appeal stating that tweq ty-five members of the Canady family are in a critical condition. Foar trained nurses, all the hospital could spare, were rushed to Summerton, and will be taken through the country to the Canady home. A long distance telephone message from Garfield tonight suys the total number poisoned is forty-five, of -nrhnm thft dead to date are: H. Till man Canady, Henry Covena, of Wesley, Ga; Mrs. Faircloth, a daughter of Mac" Canady, and her child. Seven others can't recover, according to the physicians' statements.^ The poisoning resulted from mixing a seasoning containing black pepper and vinegar in a zinc tub and used on barbecued meat. The Canady family and connections are well-to-do people of Emanuel county. Mystery Deeper. Summertown, Ga., July 11.?Deeper mystery than ever surrounds the poi soning of 54 members of the Canady family. Eleven doctors are engaged in the case, and among them there is - ?rmitinn QlTtpp it", II Wiue uivciKcuvt vi - ? _w fcwas found a zinc tub wa? used in preW paring the food, as a result of which they have asked permission to have a stomach analysis of one of the victims. This, however, has not been given yet. The county commissioners have taken direction of the situation and will probably order such an investigation 7 in a few days. The greatest genius in the world is that of the woman who knows how to tuck away her weight when it's too much. If yon are a housewife you cannot reasonably hope to be healthy or beautiful by washing disbes, sweeping and doing housework all day, and crawling into bed dead tired at night. You must get out into the open air and sunlight. If you do this every day and keep your stomach and bowels in good order by takiug chamberlain's Tablets when needed, yon shonld become both healthy and beautiful. For sale by all 1 dealers.
