A Strange Phenomenon. On March the 2Gth at 10:30 o'clock rocks began falling at the home of J. M. Craft, near the Savannah river, in Elbert County, Georgia, and continled for tnree days, falling at intervals through the dajr. They began falling in a field some distance from the house, svhere Mr. Craft and a colored boy tvere at work. At first he thought it ivas some mischiefous person hid in a patch of woods trying to scare them. Ee spoke and told them to stop it, but ;he rocks kept falling around them# kt last he decided to go to another ield, removed from the wood9, but ;he *ocks continued to fall, and one itruck his hoe and knocked it from lis hand. By this time he began to ;hink they were coming from some jther source, so he hurried to his aouse. After he got there the rocks Degan falling again. They did not 'all in a shower, bat here and there. Eis wife gathered a great many of diem, as they did not fall with any force. The rocks looked like our common dint rocks, varying in size from die small one to some as large as your 1st. The first morning they fell it nm a little cloady, but the rest 0i the ;ime it was clear. Some think it was a fulfillment of die Bible, "There shall be signs and vonders before the last days," and igain, in John 4:8 Christ said, "Exjepcye see signs and wonders, ye ihallnot believe." Again we are comnanded to watch and be ready. There is no exaggeration in this ariicle, for it was written just as it was iold by my grandfather, who is now 17 years old, and others who were presint and saw the falling.?N.
