A Strange Phenomenon.
On March the 2Gth at 10:30 o'clock
rocks began falling at the home of J.
M. Craft, near the Savannah river, in
Elbert County, Georgia, and continled
for tnree days, falling at intervals
through the dajr. They began falling
in a field some distance from the house,
svhere Mr. Craft and a colored boy
tvere at work. At first he thought it
ivas some mischiefous person hid in a
patch of woods trying to scare them.
Ee spoke and told them to stop it, but
;he rocks kept falling around them#

itruck his hoe and knocked it from
lis hand. By this time he began to
;hink they were coming from some
