Oct., 21.?The extent of the loss sustained in the fire which threatened to destroy the business section of Swansea Wednesday night is estimated at $10,500. on which there is insurance only to the amount of about $5,500. johrson '& L\brand, in whoso store the fire was discovered, suffered a loss of $9,000, and were the heaviest losers. Their insurance was only $2,800. The building was owned by D. H. Huckahaa, who valued it at $1,200, carrying I $750 insurance. Other lowers were: F. S. I-Iutto, whose building was burned, $500 los9 I with $100 insurance; R E. inabmetr, whose buildings were valued at $1,750, insurance $500; J. T. Jackson, restaurant, loss $40; Knotts, Dowling & Co., p'ate glass window damager $350, no irsurance; Rast & Varn, plate glass damage $300, damage to good9 $125, covered by insurance; R E. Inabinet, plate glass damage $500, insured; J. L. Brooker, plate glass damage $200, inf-ured; H. N. Sliapin, loss $40, insured; Dr. Brogden, whose goods were stored in one of the burned buildings, los9 $300; Reynolds & Williams, loss of stock $1,000 with $125 insurance.
