Peculiarly sad was the death of Mrs. Andrew Corley, which occured at her home near Lexington on Saturday evening at 7 o'clock. She had been ill but about a week when the summons j i i came. j.. Her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery at Providence on Sunday ^ afternoon at 3 o'clock with funeral J services conducted by the Revs. B. W. , Cronk and J. A. Cromer. Lott, a well known civil engineer of this city, who has done nuch public work, was fatally injured yesterday morning in a very peculiar nanner. Mr. Lott sleeps in a folding >ed, and in some manner the bed dosed upon him as he started to trise. It closed so suddenly that it taught bin by the neck and almost levered his head from nia body.
